Finding a place to call home — not such an easy task for millions of Americans. But for more than 40 years, Volunteers of America has helped thousands of people find a home, a place where they can feel safe, warm and secure with caring people nearby who will help them when they need it.

Volunteers of America is one of the nation’s largest non-profit providers of quality, affordable housing for low and moderate-income households. 

We create and manage housing for the homeless, families with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, including physical and mental disabilities, HIV and AIDS.

And we offer many support services and activities to our housing residents, such as after-school programs for children, transportation to medical appointments for the elderly and training for those with developmental disabilities.

Wherever there are people who need homes, Volunteers of America will be there, extending a smile and a helping hand.

Through our committment to providing quality, affordable housing for seniors and adults with disabilities, Volunteers of America of Illinois provides a safe and supportive environment for these individuals who, with limited resources, are often forced to live in substandard and unsafe conditions.
